Addie is now going on her 3rd night at home and doing great! She had her first pediatrician appointment on Friday—it went very well. Having her home has been awesome, though something doesn’t feel quite right because Aiden is still in the NICU. Her being home has also made us realize how much work we have cut out for us when he is here too. I (Brian) didn’t sleep a wink the first night. On day three I am already feeling the effects.
Today Emily went to visit Aiden in the NICU while I got some quality father-daughter time. Aiden is doing very well. He is out of the isolette now, and they think he will come home soon, though I don’t know how long “soon” is. I can’t wait to see him tomorrow. I am sure he was glad to see his mommy. Here is an updated pic.
Father-daughter time went very well. She slept in my arms nearly the entire day. Emily is going to hate me for it when she is home alone with her this week. Addie and I also had our first talk about boys. I told her Aiden and I should be the only men in her life until she is 25. I also told her she better pick the right guy the first time because she is only allowed one :) Below is a pic from today. She gets cuter and cuter every day!
i'm sure she listened to every word brian! and was probably really wishing she could roll her eyes at you and walk away to her own room! :)
