From the NICU Lounge

The babies are 6 days old and making gains everyday. Here are their updates.
Addie-They have increased her feedings. Her father thinks that she is stubborn though and spits some up to make a point. We talked to the nurse practitioner last night and I asked her how long she thought Addie would be at the hospital. She mentioned a week and 1/2 up to 2 weeks. YEAH! Won't be long until she will be home with us.
Aiden-He no longer has the bright lights on him from jaundice. He looks a lot more comfortable without the lights. Yesterday when I was changing his diaper he had his eyes open the entire time just staring at me. I loved it! It was as if he listened to me the entire time. His eyes remind me of Brian's eyes...the most caring eyes! Aiden will be here possibly 4 weeks but we are not sure.
Last night was our first night home from the hospital and we survived. It was extremely hard leaving last night and I'm afraid it won't get any easier. When we arrived today I almost felt like I was running into the NICU I couldn't seem to catch my breath I was so excited to see them both! Today is my dad's birthday so I believe my parents are coming to visit before we all go out to dinner. Tomorrow the babies will be 1 week old. Thank you to everyone for all your kind phone calls, visits, and emails. We are sorry if it seems like forever for us to return messages we are trying our best. Thanks again!
