It is 11 am and Emily is napping at the moment, so I thought I would take advantage of the time to blog a bit. She hasn't felt very well the last couple days. Between being confined to this room and a terrible sinus cold, she has had somewhat of a rough time. Yesterday her left eye was swollen and seeping, she couldn't breath very well and had difficulty sleeping (I promise I wrote that before I realized it sounds like a poem). Luckily she seems much better today. Her eye has improved, as well as her spirits. I can tell she is feeling better because she has been sound asleep for almost 2 hours now. That doesn't happen often!
Yesterday I got to go home for a bit, which was nice. I felt bad for leaving Emily, but there is no need for both of us to go crazy :) My mom met me at home to help clean the house a bit, do some laundry, and vacuum out the car in preparation for the car seats. Thanks mom!
Today I plan to get some football party gear in attempt to have a Super Bowl party in our hospital room. It might not be much, but we are going to make the best of it. I guess the only positive about the Colts not making the big game is I won't be bummed about having to watch them play on a small TV in a hospital room!
