The twins are 8 weeks old today! They continue to grow and amaze us with new things each day. Aiden is now 6lbs! We are extremely happy and pray that he continues to grow. They both go to the doctor for their 2 month check-up on the 10th of April so I'm hoping both of them will show gains in many areas. Brian and I are learning some yucky things about being parents and that is dealing with insurance! I'm sorry to all those out there that work for an insurance company and please don't take it personal but I have not been a fan for the last 2 weeks. RSV season is not up until April and so the twins needed another shot to protect them for the last month. Insurance covered the March shot but denied us for the April shots. We've been on the phone (Brian more than me) finding out every possible way we can try and get the shots covered because these shots are not cheap we are talking averaging 1,000 for 1 shot(price depends on weight of baby) So the sad news is that they will not have the shot for April but the good news is that they are growing stronger everyday and have not been exposed to any colds. Thank you vistors. I feel bad but if you've visited or called to come over I ask and will continue to ask if you are sick probably 3 times. :) It is crazy how just a runny nose can make them sick. We are hoping to bring the twins to church for Easter depending on what the doctor thinks. I've been taking care of babies on my own during the day now for only a few days and it really isn't as hard as I had imagined. Yes, I'm still in my pjs by 5, not showered, hungry, extremely tired, and up to date on the news. I always laugh when I think of everyone who told me to sleep when the babies sleep. I know it is great advice but it doesn't apply with twins. They hardly EVER sleep at the same time for a long portion of time. One is usually up within 1/2 hour. I love to spend time with 1 baby for the time the other one sleeps. It seems so special and almost as if the baby knows they have mommy time all to themself. The picture shows that they both want to be held usually at the same time which includes laying down on on your lap or on your shoulder.
Hi guys!! I promise you we will get there to see you soon. I miss you guys and i really need to see those precious babies! Dillon is quite anxious to meet them too! :) It sounds like everything is going so well for you and I am so excited to see that they are growing so well! We will call soon to come and see you, but know that we are thinking of you and still praying for you often!! :) Love you guys! ~ Darren, Megan and Dillon
