Wow the summer has been flying by! We have been very busy this summer and just when the kids and I are home a day to relax it seems like we pack and load up to go somewhere else. The kids have enjoyed going on vacation, softball games, shopping trips, Putnam county fair, cookouts, going to the park, taking walks, and going out to dinner. They are now 6 months and amaze me everyday! It's funny when I think about how often I have to untag clothes, wash, have them wear them, and then pack them up to be stored. CRAZY!! I even find clothes that they've never worn because I don't have time to wash them or I just misplaced them.

I thought I house looked like a baby store when they came home from the hospital if only I knew then what it was going to look like in the future! It is possible somedays to see a swing, 2 seats, bumbo seat, spinning seat (not sure the name of it) all in my kitchen. I don't have a very big kitchen so you always have to watch your step.

My good news to share is that I resigned from my teaching position to stay at home and raise Addie and Aiden. Brian and I feel very fortunate and blessed that this can happen. It was harder than I thought packing up my classroom and walking out the same door that I have for 5 years for the last time but I know that someday I can teach again. This time at home with the kids will go by quickly and I don't want to miss a second. We are looking forward to having some family time in Chicago...hopefully I can remember to post pics.

  1. I am sure it was very hard to leave teaching, but you will have so much fun being home with your babies. I know I am dreading leaving Corbin now that I have been home all summer. I am really going to miss him! Enjoy every minute with those babies because they grow up sooooo fast. (Corbin is going to be 1 in less than a month!) Good luck!! :)
