Like the pink umbrella!? It was really sunny and hot so I put my umbrella in the middle of the stroller to help shade the babies. It worked Great! I need to invent a new stroller! ha ha
We went to the Lincoln Park Zoo last week and had a great time! The babies Nana and Aunt Mimmy came along to help. If anyone goes to Chicago you should check it out! The zoo is absolutely free! Brian was in Chicago for work and when he was finished he was able to visit with us at the zoo. He has been busy traveling for work so I have had a glimpse of what it would be like to be a single mom! YIKES! I don't like Mt. Dew but 1 day last week I had 2 of them before 9AM! It may sound silly but I think they were aware of the change at home. Brian always drys and dresses the babies after their bath-which they LOVE and last week I had to do all of it and I don't think they enjoyed it as much as they normally do. Brian is getting ready to travel again--this time to Miami FL so we are going to Bloomington to visit my sister and her family. I can't wait to spend time with Ellen!
The babies are getting into a great schedule which allows me time around the house or to even go run errands with them. It has been so nice to sit and eat lunch even if it is well past 12 in the afternoon. Every evening Brian and I spend time playing, Laughing, Screaming(happy) with the babies. They just love to look around at us and eachother. They are really into peek a boo and it is hilarious to see them get excited. It's like they try to run in place! ha ha
Sunday we went to the NICU reunion (picnic) at a park in Zionsville. It was EXTREMELY hot and CROWDED. I don't know why but for some reason I was thinking it wouldn't be that crowded. Brian was trying to warn me it may be packed but until I saw the man directing traffic and flagging for parking, I didn't believe him. It was amazing to see all the staff from the hospital and all the babies and kids that were cared for at the NICU. We are soo thankful that our children were well taken care of at the NICU and that the staff there has such Big Hearts! We can't wait to go next summer to the next picnic when Addie and Aiden can play and participate in all the activities.
