Since I haven't posted in a while, I thought I should make it known that this is Brian, not Emily. The other day Emily told me she had taught Addie how to say hi, but of course I didn't believe her. Even my mom and Emily's mom were pretty certain they had it heard it before too. I figured it was just a fluke or just some noise that sounded like hi. Well a couple of nights ago I was laying in bed and Emily said to Addie, "Hi," and sure enough what followed was the cutest little "Hi" I had ever heard in my life. I about fell out of bed! Surely she hadn't said it. Knowing that I was skeptical, Emily said it again and right on cue Addie said "Hi" in her little baby voice. Now she says it all the time, but typically only when she is in a good mood.
Since I knew others would feel as I first did, I decided we needed some evidence. I was able to catch her in the act this morning! Click play and see for yourself! Make sure you have the volume turned up.
Even though she is just mimicking us and has no idea what she is saying, I am still a proud daddy. I warned Emily that she is going to have to watch what she says because Addie will now tell everyone :)
