Yesterday was their 2 month check-up and the twins did great! Aunt Ellen and Brittney came along to help and boy did mommy need help. They got 3 shots and an oral immunization. I of course was not in the room and waiting in the waiting room. I just can’t watch! Thank you so much Ellen and Brittney!! Addalyn weighs 8lbs 14 oz and Aiden weighs 7 lbs 9.5 oz! He is catching her! They feel A LOT different than they did at birth. We are so thrilled that they are healthy and continuing to grow so well. WE can even skip a feeding at night! OH my goodness that means Brian can give up his shift…not sure how I feel about that just yet. It is definitely not set in stone.
After the shots the babies were pretty wiped out and slept for a while. I think it affected Addie more than Aiden b/c she was really really out of it until this morning. She actually spit up an entire bottle all over Brian (I’m laughing b/c I witnessed it) Brian says that she is trying to set a record b/c she shot out an entire bottle 4ft across our bed. I warned him she needed to get a burp out. She also had a temp of 99 which freaked me out but seems to be her screaming self again. Aiden is now chilling out in the swing..his new found love.
On the paper from the doctor it suggest setting bedtime and having it consistent. We are going to start that tonight and suggestions on a good bedtime for babies? We are thinking of 8pm but we realize it may not be until 8:30 that we actually get them to sleep. Tomorrow is the big day! Wish us luck!
Aiden LOVES to be held by his daddy when he gets home from work.
One of Addie’s goofy faces. ha ha
So excited that the babies are getting so big! The shots thing is not fun...I'm glad you had help! As far as a bed time goes...when El was still getting up at night I'd put her down around 9 or 10 to try to get her to let me sleep more before she got up...but as she started sleeping through the night it is now between 7:30 and 8:30. It probably just depends on how your feeding schedule goes. Have a great time at church tomorrow and Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteLucky you guys if you can put them down by 8 or 830...Dillon is up with us till 11 or after but the good news is he is sleeping for longer periods of time...5-7 hours straight depending on how hungry he gets! Hope things keep going good, you will have to see Dillon's pic with the Easter bunny, haha...he is engulfed in bunny!
